We shipped our first app.
It's called SteadFast. It's a fasting timer. That's it — a timer that counts how long you've been fasting, shows you your progress, and gets out of your way. It also has a BMI calculator and a weight tracker. Both work exactly as you'd expect. Neither requires a subscription.
It's free on the App Store.
Why we built it
Intermittent fasting works for a lot of people. The science is solid, the approach is simple, and millions of people do it every day without any app at all. They just don't eat for a window of time. That's the whole thing.
So why are most fasting apps so complicated? Streak systems. Premium tiers. Coaching programs. Daily tips. Community features. Level-up mechanics designed to keep you opening the app whether it helps you or not.
We looked at that and thought: there's a simpler version of this. A version that respects the fact that you already know what you're doing. You just need to know what time it is and how long you've been going.
SteadFast is that version.
What it does
You set your fasting window. You start the timer. It runs. When your fast is complete, it tells you. There's a weight tracker so you can log your progress over time, and a BMI calculator if you want a reference point. The interface is clean. The app doesn't send you notifications trying to sell you something. It doesn't have a social feed.
It just does what you need it to do and then waits for you to come back.
What it means for us
SteadFast is our first shipped product, but more than that — it's proof that we can build something, see it through, and get it into people's hands. That matters more than any feature list. The hardest part of building anything isn't the idea. It's finishing.
We finished. Now we build the next one.
