SeaMate 1.0.1 is live on the App Store. It's a real update, not a bug-fix release — four new things aboard, all of it built off what people actually asked for after using 1.0.
Here's what's in it.
- Marina Info — 4,043 US marinas, bundled right into the app so it works with no signal. Tap one on the chart and get VHF channel, fuel, transient docking, phone number, and website, wherever the data exists.
- Logbook Photos — attach a photo to any voyage log entry, straight from your camera or your library. It stays on your device.
- Tidal Current Overlay — flood and ebb arrows at 4,430 NOAA stations, fully offline. Know which way the water's moving before you commit to a course.
- Voyage Recap Cards — a shareable card for a trip you've logged: route line, stats, a photo if you added one. Good for the group chat, good for your own record.
None of this is filler. Marina info and tidal currents were the two things people kept asking for after launch, and logbook photos and recap cards came out of watching how people were actually using the voyage log — a list of numbers wasn't enough, they wanted to remember the trip.
Same rules as always apply: the marina and tide data is bundled on your device, not fetched live, so it works exactly where you need it to — out on the water, with no bars.
